I started painting while touring as a singer songwriter with my band in the early 1990s. My hearing doctor told me my ability to hear high frequencies was diminishing. He said if I kept playing loud music it would result in further hearing loss. At that point I decided to change course and focus on my painting one hundred percent. In 1999 I moved from Pittsburgh, PA to Scottsdale, Arizona to pursue my art career. I participated in The Celebration Of Fine Art in 2000 and 2002. The Wilde Meyer Gallery in Scottsdale represented me from 2003 to 2009. My paintings hang in private and corporate collections.

PetSmart Charities ® chose me as their 2008 fall artist for The"Just A Buck, Change Their Luck" TM Campaign, which raises money for homeless and abused pets in the US and Canada. My original artwork entitled "Bright Angels" was depicted on exclusive PetSmart ® merchandise and sold to the public. As a result nearly $2 million dollars was raised for this worthy cause.

You can see a series of paintings I did for a brand new book called Gracie's World TM by Sharon Schmitz. It's a true story of an extraordinary black labrador retriever that lives in Carefree Arizona. It's a fun read to see how Gracie deals with life's changes. http:// graciesworldadventures.com TM

Many thanks to my brother Bob for his encouragement over the years. He taught me how to paint and be painterly.
